A ghostwriter is a professional writer who creates content on behalf of another person, usually without receiving the public byline.
The ideas should still belong to the person whose name appears on the finished work. The ghostwriter's role is to understand those ideas, organise them and express them clearly in a way that sounds natural to the client.
Ghostwriting can be used for books, articles, speeches, LinkedIn posts, opinion pieces and other forms of professional content.
For executives and founders, the process often begins with conversations, notes, voice messages or existing material. A good ghostwriter is not there to invent a personality or manufacture opinions. The job is to understand what the client actually thinks and help communicate it effectively.
That distinction is important. The best ghostwriting should still feel like the person behind the name.
